Started to read the story about Neal Idiot vs Neal Degrass Tyson. Got about ¾ thru the 1st paragraph and it disappeared — replaced by a picture of Tyson. Tried to scroll down to continue reading, but the scroll didn’t work. Apparently so much other stuff was going on that there wasn’t enuf processing power left to run this basic function.
Over the next 2 minutes, as the little loading twirlygig spun, the page sporadicly jumped up and down, perhaps trying to catch up on long forgotten spins of my scroll wheel. I’d try to read more as it happened to be on my screen. And maybe thinking it was finally ready, I’d try to scroll again, only to find it wouldn’t respond. Even the cursor was dead, so no hitting the X to get out of here.
Eventually, it finished and I read the story. It was OK, but not worth the wait.
