Thanks to some really amazing diarists, the word about down ballot races, and the importance of electing a Democratic Congress for our next President is becoming the next big dance craze here at DK. In my mind at any rate; they are dancing while typing.
These are the folks that are getting it done, that are keeping us informed with news the MSM never bothers to cover. Let’s give a big shout out and a lot of love to these hero’s of democracy (and great keyboard dancers):

Jim Keady, 49th Aficionado, MillerforFreeholder, ca democrat, terrypinder, millstone, Yasuragi
You can do that by clicking on their names, and clicking on the heart in their profiles. Then their diaries will show up in your activity stream and you can rec, tip and comment. You can help spread the word and get the Democratic Congress our President will need, the Congress we all need.
These writers are the reason that the DK groups 50 State Strategy Project and DK Fans of 90for90 have been the 2nd and 3rd most active groups for the last months.
This all started with 90for90, a voters advocacy movement started to honor Dr. William Ferguson Reid, the first African American elected to the VA Assembly. The idea was to register 90 new voters in each precinct in VA. "¼ million for The Old Dominion.” They passed that number and it’s looking like they will have ½ million new voters by the November election. The now 91 year old Dr. Reid is still focused on registering voters and electing Democrats.
He’s the reason for the candidate diaries here on Daily Kos; our inspiration, the one who taught us this dance. With such a short time left until the election, it’s time for us to dance a little faster, type a little louder, and we could use all the help we can get. So please, pick a candidate who moves you, who has a beat you can type to, and join us in the down ballot dance that is sweeping the nation. Write a down ballot diary.
Here is a 90for90 supporter who is dancing across the nation.
Oh, yeah, and I’ve written a few candidate diaries too. ZT
