Missouri Republican Sen. Roy Blunt talked to the Missouri Farm Bureau last Friday, and was asked why he is underwater in his approval ratings with voters in the state. His answer? It's the voters' fault.
I guarantee you if you knew what I was doing rather than what you think — what your neighbors think I might have been doing I'd be a whole lot more popular because I fight these rules and regulations all the time. I'm always looking for ways to get their attention. And by the way no better way to get their attention recently than President Obama in the last year of his presidency will not get a lifetime nominee on the Supreme Court.
So instead of doing the actual job Missourians elected him to do, he's trying to "get their attention" with obnoxious stunts like blocking Supreme Court nominees, because the people who voted for him aren't paying attention to what he wants them to? Wow, Missouri voters, your Republican senator sure does have a crappy opinion of you. Good to know.
