David Bossie, from Citizens United, has been hired as Donald Trump's new deputy campaign manger.
Bossie has been part of a group that has been 'investigating' the Clinton's for over 20 years. He was part of Congressional Investigations into Whitewater in the 90's, with Newt Gingrich approving him to be chief investigator for the House's Government and Oversight committee. That position only lasted a year when he was forced to resign for releasing edited jailhouse tapes in connection to Whitewater.
Bossie is just the latest in line of right wing smear artists hired by or working with the Trump campaign.
He's taking a leave from both Citizens United and the 'Defeat Crooked Hillary' PAC to join the Trump campaign.
"He's a battle-tested warrior and a brilliant strategist," Conway said. "He's a nuts-and-bolts tactician as well, who's going to help us fully integrate our ground game and data operations, and help with overall strategy as my deputy."
Bossie will also work on crafting attacks against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, mining past controversies involving her and former president Bill Clinton, and cultivating Trump’s bond with conservative activists.
The Mercer Family, the main financier of the Trump campaign, has also been a long time funder of Bossie’s organizations and attacks against the Clinton’s. The Mercer’s have ties to all the recent new hires in the Trump campaign like Kellyanne Conway and Bannon.
