Dear President Trump:
As you know, our consortium organized itself specifically to pursue the prime contract for your Great Mexican Wall project. And as we discussed previously, we and our investors were very excited when it was announced that our bid was the lowest. However, our lawyers are strongly urging us not to sign the contract in its present terms.
The extra ten feet of razor wire is not the issue. As we discussed on 1/21, the removal of the clause forbidding us to hire undocumented workers will save us enough in labor costs to cover this.
Our objection is to the deletion of the entire paragraph 41 (payment terms and schedule), and the addendum “Mexico will pay you for it” that was apparently added in pen on the margin of our copy of the contract. Until the original terms of paragraph 41 are restored we will not be signing this contract, nor will construction start until the first payment is received according to the terms of the same.
Very Sincerely,
--
