As always, Trump always surrounds himself with the best, classiest people. People like his Ohio campaign chair Kathy Miller, who has a few things she felt the need to express in an interview with The Guardian.
“If you’re black and you haven’t been successful in the last 50 years, it’s your own fault. You’ve had every opportunity, it was given to you,” she said.
“You’ve had the same schools everybody else went to. You had benefits to go to college that white kids didn’t have. You had all the advantages and didn’t take advantage of it. It’s not our fault, certainly.”
Miller also dismissed the Black Lives Matter movement as a “waste of time”, opined that low turnout amongst African-Americans was due to “the way they’re raised” and that prior to the election of President Obama there was no real racism problem in the USA, but has only become an issue due to the “philosophy that Obama has perpetuated on America”. Well, thanks for clearing that up Kathy.
