This is my first diary . . . so I apologize in advance for any errors. I am writing in support of Sara and Ann’s Kickstarter project for Pootie Pads. Go here for their kickstarter.
I lost my much loved Kisses from kidney disease in April of this year. I was feeling very lonesome, wandered into PetSmart, and fell in love with two former ferals, a.k.a. The Tweedle Boys. The boys supposedly had been socialized at our local Humane Society, but they were still very timid and fearful. Here they are on their first day in their forever home:
They are hiding under the desk in my office. After a day or so, they would come out, but not for long, and they did not like to be touched.
I had the idea to order them Pootie Pads — I previously had purchased them for Kisses, and various family cats, and they were always big hits. The cats all went nuts for them.
So . . . I waited for the Pootie Pads to arrive, and kept speaking softly to the boys and telling them that this is their forever home.
I have pictures of the day their Pootie Pads arrived:
Oh the sheer joy those cats showed! They’ve played on them, wrestled them, and dragged them into bed so we could all sleep with their Pootie Pads.
To this day, when they are feeling anxious, I will find one or both of them curled up with a Pootie Pad.
I can’t think of a better gift for a cat or a cat’s hoomin. This idea of Sara and Ann’s was sheer genius. Let’s help spread the news about the wonders of Pootie Pads, and help them grow their business by sharing this link to their Kickstarter on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
