Rachel Maddow once again has a scoop from Kurt Eichenwald’s reporting in Newsweek.
Tomorrow, an article entitled “The Castro Connection” will show that one of Trump’s companies illegally spent money to try and do business in Cuba while the ban on commerce was still in effect. He had personal knowledge of the scheme to spend that money and try to pass it off as a charitable donation.
Moreover, he did this just months before he tried to run for president on the Reform Party ticket. On his first day on that ill-fated campaign, he went to Miami, with its Cuban-American community, and flat-out lied about his respect for that embargo, saying if he were president, the embargo would not end until Castro was out of power. Moreover, he is still lying, since he is claiming that he will try to undo Obama’s loosening of the embargo.
The article comes out tomorrow.
