Jason Christensen is running for state Senate in Utah. Jason Christensen’s claim to fame is that he’s super religious and his last name has “Christ” in it! Christensen’s other claim to fame is that he’s a homophobic waste of cosmic dust. Raw Story picked up a Reddit post and it is going viral. This past week 19-year-old man Braxton David Taylor died—the result of an apparent suicide. A woman who lived near Taylor posted a message saying how tragic it was that a young gay man felt so sad that he chose to end his life. That’s when Christian “patriot” Jason Christensen rode in and this exchange took place.
After the post went viral, Christensen privatized his social media accounts and posted this:
Which is the height of cowardly hypocrisy.
Christensen for his part is all in when it comes to being insane about his religious and political beliefs. Here’s his jasonthepatriot.com page.
To make the best and educated decisions we only have to return to the basics! Those basic principles include God’s laws and the U.S. Constitution, which He gave to mankind to govern ourselves. The Constitution wasn’t anything really new, but was a continuance of the Mosaic Law, that God gave to the children of Israel, in order to govern themselves after leaving Egypt. Within these Sacred Laws we find such commandments as: “Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not covet they neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet they neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is they neighbor’s.” Both of these commandments deal with the right to be safe within one’s own property, safety to worship how one pleases, makes money as they please (intellectual property or ideas) as well as their physical property and money; the right to defend that property and all lives within that property.
His ideas seem to be a putrid salad bowl mixed with conspiracy, religion and some strange federalism that is mostly based in how hot these Founding Fathers looked with horses and such. Unfortunately for Mr. Christensen, there is no God in the universe that can make those terrible terrible thoughts, the ones that burn inside of him and fuel his sweaty nights, go away.
