Body language… in the middle of her lie to Chuck Todd, and millions of viewers, Kellyanne showed what might be a tell we should be alert for in the future.
I didn’t catch it with my camera the first time but the clip is being replayed frequent so the next time I was ready. She did the classic hair flip over her right shoulder. Does she think flirting with Chuck Todd will get her anything when she knows she has be trapped in a lie and can’t escape with her usual gaslighting?
She schmoozed with Rachel Maddow and it seemed to work. Rachel drove me crazy with this. Maybe it’s just Rachel being Rachel. We saw this (much to the dismay of Kosacks) with her over-the-top praise of Greta VanSustern.
Likewise, Chris Mathews drove me to distraction with his desperate optimistic take on the Trump disaster.
But a turning point may, lets hope, has been reached in the non-Fox media world.
Joy Reid focused most of her show today on how to deal with the Trump world of boldface lying and gaslighting.
Trump is even being called out on the contradictory Tweets from three and four hours ago. One, the take-back, commentators noted was most likely written by his staff. They said they used to have a way to tell whether an Android (like Trump uses) or an iPhone was used to Tweet. Now non-Trumpian Tweets are all coming from Androids. They speculated that this was deliberate.
Malcolm Nance, a former CIA agent, has become a welcome guest on MSNBC. Now more former agents (like Glenn Carle, right) have had it with the Trump lies and are speaking out. I’m impressed that these ex-spies talk in plain and forceful language.
Of course I rather doubt you’ll see them on Fox News.
For the first time I am feeling a glimmer of hope. If you’ve been reading my stories you’d know how unusual this is for me.
I think there’s a good chance that the perfect storm has hit what with Trump’s reaction to the low inauguration attendance, the wildly successful Women’s March, Trump’s fascistic inauguration speech, his lie filled CIA address, and the Spicer press announcement. Now the media sees to have developed some guts. There is even talk of their not attending the press conferences — why should they. They will be insulted, threatened, and gaslighted. They could better spend their time at the White House press office (moved across the street as I expect it will be) which will be more spacious then their current White House office.
Let’s hope.

Back from the supermarket, noting that bulimia trumps Trump….
In addition to the double fuck you above:
(CNN)Ever the provocateur, Madonna dropped a trio of f-bombs and admitted that she's "thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House" during a speech at the Women's March on Washington on Saturday.
"It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f--k up," she told the crowd. "It seems as though we had all slipped into a false sense of comfort, that justice would prevail and that good would win in the end."
"Well, good did not win this election. But good will win in the end," she said.
The pop star later went into a rendition of "Human Nature" with added R-rated lyrics, including a call for Trump to perform an obscene act to himself.
