Do we dare go on the offensive, for once, or must we stand on the sidelines and complain? Make these idiots own their bad ideas.
I want to see Democrats on the attack. Vote to repeal all of the ACA/Obamacare in 12 months. Insist the GOP join us in voting for repeal. In the bill, give the GOP nine months to enact a replacement for the ACA, with three months to emplace, and a possible six month extension of ACA if the GOP asks nicely for it, after new replacement health care law is passed.
If the replacement has not been made into law at the nine month point (which is plenty of time, as they’ve been advocating repeal and replace for seven years)—our new law will stipulate that ACA is automatically extended for four years, and let the next president make a decision.
The worst case scenario for the Democratic Party is a GOP repeal of ACA, with replacement pushed passed either the 2018 or 2020 elections, which is exactly what the GOP is going to push on their idiotic voters. They’ll claim a campaign promise has been delivered, a genius new plan is on the way….and delay the impact of their idiocy until Trump has been re-elected. Don’t let them do it.
