Received this e-mail today from comedian Chelsea Handler on behalf of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee:
Two weeks ago, I announced that I would end my Netflix show, Chelsea, to focus on political activism.
Monday night was incredible. I got to meet a group of inspiring women running for office in my home state of New Jersey, and they’ve got me fired up!
These progressive women could win Democratic-leaning districts that are represented by Trump-supporting Republicans.
Their victories would send a profound signal across the country in advance of 2018. (And big wins in New Jersey would be a fitting "Good Riddance" to Chris Christie as he leaves office with record-low approval ratings.)
Can you chip in $3 right now to help these incredible candidates in New Jersey get elected next week?
One of the incredible women I met Monday night was Lacey Rzeszowski, running for General Assembly in District 21 against the top-ranking Republican in the state. While her opponents are supported by big-money special interests like the NRA, Lacey is running a grassroots campaign built from years of experience as a community advocate for gun violence prevention.
Lacey is running for Assembly to increase opportunities for women, improve education and infrastructure, and protect the environment. She’s also been making politics more fun with videos talking about important issues with a cardboard cutout of Chris Christie -- and I got to be in one with her!
Lacey and dozens of progressives in New Jersey need our help to get across the finish line next week.
Chip in $3 now to help get these progressive candidates elected in New Jersey next week!
Thanks for helping candidates who will stand up for women.
