Daily Kos family, meet one of our newest users sisterpersister! She drove 12 hours roundtrip to Rep. Greg Walden’s town hall (OR-02) because he was isn’t holding town halls in the more populous areas of his district, preferring on this trip to stick to small cities far from places like Bend and Medford where roughly 53% of his constituents live. Not to discount the voices of those rural communities, we know they also need to be heard, but Walden’s Bend and Medford constituents have asked time and time again for him to visit the area. “Sisterpersister” is going to write up her own experience and share video from her town hall experience, but this longtime nurse and Navy veteran capped off her long drive with an important message for the resistance and for voters everywhere who don’t feel they are being properly represented or heard. Take a listen:
Bravo!
