Trump is loyal to his cohorts — until they become a liability to his ‘vested interests’. Such was the case with Paul Manafort, who could do no wrong in Trump’s eyes. Until one day he did … cross some well-hidden line.
Or at least, the former campaign wiz ‘got caught’ — crossing it … well below most radars of the fall season.
The FBI is looking into Paul Manafort’s foreign business and political dealings, NBC reports.
Manafort, who resigned as Donald Trump’s campaign manager in August, was previously an international political consultant.
He became a liability for the Trump campaign amid reports of his involvement with a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine.
One damaging New York Times story earlier this year alleged the party had earmarked more than $12 million in under-the-table cash payments, raising questions about whether Manafort had run afoul of U.S. lobbying laws that would require him to register as a “foreign agent” with the Justice Department.

What’s $12,000,000 in Russian pay-offs, among cohorts anyways?
I wonder if Manafort claimed those on his Tax Returns, either?

American intelligence and law enforcement agencies are looking at intercepted communications and financial transactions as part of an investigation into possible ties between President-elect Donald Trump’s associates and the Kremlin, The New York Times reports.
The report, published less than 24 hours before Trump is inaugurated, is reportedly focused on examining the business dealings that some of Trump’s closest confidants and operatives have had in Russia, including former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, already the subject of an FBI inquiry into his dealings in Russia and Ukraine.
At least two other campaign advisers, Carter Page and Roger Stone, are also being examined, according to The Times report.

And these inquires are over and above the one that found, that the Kremlin likely has compromising dirt on the Donald. As if a gator can’t ‘brush off’ a little mud … or cast aside his foot soldiers, when the glare of the spotlight, gets just too damn close.
Well, if gator-man didn’t want us to focus on his Russian connections — maybe he shouldn’t have put so many on them on his staff and in his cabinet. They’re a virtual Who’s Who of Russian go-betweens …
The thing about swamp-gators though — they are bound to leave some mighty muddy tracks ...
