I have mentioned this before...Thom just gave me the keywords to google to get this info that illuminates my point. If Teddy Roosevelt could not win with a third party--as popular as he was--creating a third party is a monumental task that may not be our most efficient alternative. Watch this video...I have been thinking for quite awhile that we need to infiltrate the Democratic Party and push it to the left. There are some structural issues that promote a two party system in our current form of government. Why not leverage the Democrats’ infrastructure and remake the Democratic party to be a real voice for the working person and the environment.
FDR did not become amazing on his own. It took decades of activism—activism that continued throughout his presidency—that gave FDR the political capital—and therefore the power over the “Economic Royalists”—to create the New Deal, the WPA, Social Security…...(add your favorite FDR program).
