Looking to voice our real concerns to our Senator and Congressman, constituents of Indiana’s District 6 made due with the next best option, cardboard cutouts. The “Where’s Waldo?” themed town hall was a forum to present questions and the real life stories that our representatives are not willing or able to hear.
People from the community spoke to the pressing questions on matters such as healthcare, LGBTQIA rights, charter schools, social security, medicare, prescription costs, environment and climate change, corruption and the Emoluments Clause, as well as minimum wage and the damage done by shopping at Walmart.

The intention, of course, was to get our representatives to hear our questions and the stories of how their actions (and inactions) have dramatic repercussions in our lives. Another great outcome of the event was connecting a vibrant group of active citizens ready to take on the challenges of calling out our public officials on their moral responsibilities to our democracy and the imperative of defending the rights of ALL.
