CNN’s Jake Tapper had Kellyanne Conway back on CNN today to tell everyone that CNN isn’t fake news. For the most part I like Tapper but Kellyanne Conway is just ingratiating herself so that she can be there to spin bullshit when the Bannon/Trump regime really need it. Conway was on CNN to try to explain how Donald Trump just lies all of the time. She references an article in The Daily Caller by Alex Pfeiffer that says traditional media has a series of stories that are proving Trump’s position that the news is fake. The Daily Caller is sort of like if Breitbart put on a bow tie and pretended a touch harder not to be racist. The article is mostly a headline with a lot of argument saying that a bunch of traditional media stories were false because the White House says otherwise. They may not be entirely correct on all of the details, but most “anonymously sourced” material isn’t, and if your argument that Secretary of State’s Rex Tillerson wasn’t in on a late night phone call because Sean Spicer says he wasn’t—well, that doesn’t make a story false.
Tapper goes directly to the point.
How about the president's statements, Kellyanne, that are false? Like the murder rate is the highest it's been in almost half a century? False! How about the fact that the media doesn't report on terrorist attacks? False! I mean, you can talk about some jerk with some website making a mistake or almost making a mistake.
Kellanne gets Tapper to semi-sarcastically say Pfeiffer is a “sweet guy,” but don’t worry Jake, you were right the first time—he’s a jerk.
The best part of the video is Kellyanne Conway’s long blink as Tapper emphasizes the first “false.” It’s like the wind of truth hits her and she must go into herself to find inner sociopath she so deftly channels most of the time.
