We all know that the ties between Russia and the Trump campaign have been evident all along and are becoming clearer nearly every single day.
And there’s also been this “ambassador death” streak, with 6 (?) deaths of Russian ambassadors around the world since November. One was a violent murder in Turkey, but many have been...umm...mysterious.
One of those died here in the United States — Vitaly Churkin, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, died in New York. So, naturally, that’s being investigated here.
So we’ll get better information about what happened to him, right?
Think again: According to multiple sources (including CBS News www.cbsnews.com/...), the State Department has asked the New York Medical Examiner’s office not to release the results because of diplomatic immunity.
This may mean nothing — perhaps this is a “courtesy” always extended to embassy staff to prevent any personal details from being released. But, given this administration, one has to wonder...
