Trump has taken a hard hit in these tracking polls in the last week. So what has happened in the last week that would cause his numbers to plunge? Hmmm, surely it couldn’t be the GOP’s plan to take away healthcare from 24 million people? One of the aspects of the GOP approach to governing that sticks out for me is, they’re going to make it so many people who suffer from mental illness will not be able to buy healthcare, but they can still buy a gun.
Here are some numbers from the Rasmussen poll.

When a Republican takes a hit like that in a Rasmussen poll, you know something is going on. So Trump went from a high of +6 on March 3, to -7 yesterday.
And here’s the Gallup poll

In the Gallup poll (a 3 day tracking poll) Trump went from a high of -4 in the March 9-11 period, to a low Yesterday of -11 in the March 11-13 period.
The GOP released their plan on March 6. There are several questions that have yet to be answered about these polls. Was the GOP healthcare plan a trigger of some type of pent up frustration over the Trump/GOP/Putin regime, or is this just about the pure shittiness of their plan? And most importantly, is this negative reaction to Trump being transferred to the fascist GOP?
Sometimes people react to a constant long lasting negative feeling more than a single event. Trump is doing his part with his nutty tweets and EO’s, the GOP is doing their part with this insane plan to take away healthcare and their Russian/Trump cover up, the Democratic politicians are doing their part with media coverage and congressional maneuvering, and the Resistance is doing its part with the demonstrations and protests and the constant pressure.
