Trump has transformed the once vibrant center of global power into a retirement community.
When a real emergency or crisis strikes, the odds are that President Trump will find out about it from Fox News.
If you're wondering what Trump's daily routine is, it's not the same disciplined regime that Barack Obama followed, rising at 7:00 a.m., hitting the gym first, and then working 13-15 hours. Trump eats breakfast and turns on Fox News.
Bloomberg Technology reported, “The president now spends hours some mornings watching Fox News, switching occasionally to CNBC for business headlines, along with a daily diet of newspapers and press clippings, said the official, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. On the evenings when he doesn’t have a dinner or briefing, Trump will spend most of his TV-viewing time watching Fox News shows hosted by Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity, the aide said.”
This current sitting president calls it a day at 5:00 p.m., a luxury that none of his predecessors had but Trump does. Then he eats dinner, watches more Fox News, and fuels his emotions so that in the wee hours of the morning he can tweet his angst to one and all. If we want Trump to read an intelligence briefing we're going to have to give it to Sean Hannity to read to him. All Trump knows is photo ops and PR gatherings. The man has no depth or substance, and it will be interesting to see how long he can maintain posturing as a president before the whole facade collapses of its own weight, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later. This is the most important job in the world and we have a president who watches teevee instead of governing.
