In a few scattered comments last week, I indicated that I’ve been going through a bit of a “reorganization” of the space in my home that I call, simply, “The Office.”
Basically, all I’m doing is some good ol’ spring cleaning with an emphasis on organizing the various books and papers that I have so that I can be a more...efficient writer here at tGOS.
True enough, I’ve attacked the bit-too dusty baseboards. I’ve cleared a couple of items out of my refrigerator that look as if they’re ready to attack me.
I’d thought that i was out of tea until I found a few extra teabags in a container the I use for stashing miscellaneous items in order to forget about them. (now I’m happy that I seem to have made the wise decision to stash those teabags at some point!
I’ve found a couple of loose earrings that I thought had been long lost.
I did find a belt in my closet that I had been searching for.
As far as my readings are concerned, because I heavily annotate and highlight pretty much anything that I read, I’ve gotten into the habit of scanning much of what I read. And while I know how to annotate with my PDF document program, I don’t particularly care for the feature, so I wind up printing a lot out. I’ve organized many of those readings now and will organize and store them properly...who knows how long those readings will remain organized.
So as far as how this year’s round of spring cleaning is coming along: so far, so good. It would be nice if I found a big wad of misplaced cash or even that nice diamond stud earring that I saw in a Tiffany’s (at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie, IL) a few years ago...then again, I never had those objects to lose in my humble abode, alas.
Today’s question: Have you started or do you plan to do any spring cleaning? Have you ever found anything that you had lost during a spring cleaning?
