The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has launched a new online tool, Access and Quality in VA Healthcare, on the VA Access to Care website to help veterans make more informed healthcare choices.
The [site is designed to] make wait times transparent [and allow comparisons of] access and quality measures from their facility to other VA facilities, including: how long patients are waiting to be seen… how veterans describe their experiences scheduling primary and specialty care appointments … quality of health care delivered compared to local private-sector hospitals [etc].
The VA has created an Access to Care online video demo that can be viewed within the VA blog HERE.
