Today, I closed the Go Fund Me campaign for my beloved Millie the Kid...raising 2K in 2.5 days. I am so grateful, and humbled, for all of you who made a donation. You'll never know just how humbled I feel. She has enough money in escrow to pay for the initial tests she'll undergo over the next 3 to 4 months. There may be other tests and complication if she survives, and she remains in critical condition. Nevertheless, she has a chance and those tests will reveal how just how much of a chance. So, thank you all, again, for coming to Millie the Kid's rescue, and a chance to get through this debilitating thyroid and liver ailment. She may be about 16 years 'young,' but here's one former res cat who knows how to survive. I think the expression given this picture says, "Thanks, and I'm going to make it." She's still about 7 pounds and she's eating and drinking. So, that means she wants to remain on this side of the grass and meowing. I think she's kinda crazy about me, as I am about her. It's a cat thing, I know, but I work for cats (so said Mrs. Bond, in the PBS "All Creatures Great and Small" series.
