As I mentioned in my earlier diary this morning I am in a life or death struggle since I am now in Medicare’s famed doughnut hole, which means until I spend about 1800 or so more dollars I have to pay for each prescription basically out of pocket, or about 600 plus a pop.
Then I saw this story which further lowers my expectations both about the administration and my situation.
Donald Trump’s budget director specifically called out people suffering from diabetes as a group of Americans who do not deserve the protection of health insurance.
He continued, “That doesn’t mean we should take care of the person who sits at home, eats poorly and gets diabetes. Is that the same thing as Jimmy Kimmel’s kid? I don’t think that it is.”
So we will have to go on a case by case basis to see who got diabetes what way to see if they are covered, meanwhile hundreds of thousands will die?
29.1 million Americans suffer from diabetes, which is about 9.3 percent of the population.
