I hope Louise Mensch wins the Pulitzer this year. There are many reasons why I, a proclaimed lefty, avidly follow her. For background on those who don’t know who she is, she’s a British conservative, was an MP, then wrote for Rupert Murdoch’s Heat Street. She currently lives in NYC, in the process of becoming an American citizen, and has spent the last few months singlemindedly going after Trump, Putin and everyone involved with indefatigable energy, including cheerleading crowdsourcing anyone willing to lend a hand in her investigative journalism (with proper posted credit).
This is her twitter feed:
More importantly, this is her blog:

Most importantly, this was what she wrote when she was still writing for Heat Street back before the election:
Warrant Covering Trump Camp’s Ties To Russia
Frankly I don’t care if she’s been wrong about everything ever since—she was the LONE journalist with the thatchers to publish that right before the election when it would have done some good. Instead she’s been right about everything so far, at least the content in her blog, and usually days or weeks ahead of the MSM. She’s had to issue one correction to the content, something having to do with Estonia if I recall correctly.
On her twitter feed she has been wrong several times, but has been quick to correct. She’s also very ready to correct misplaced support.
Sure she’s conservative—she thinks Mitt Romney would have made a great President and she outright fangirls over Arnold Schwarzenegger and she was pro-Brexit. But because she’s an honest conservative, she hates what the current GOP has become just as much as anyone on dkos. And for that matter, she’s a British conservative—most Tories are to the left of the DNC. The other investigative journalist she has published on her blog is a socialist trans woman, who discovered and broke the story of Wikileaks being hosted in Russia.
Other things in her favor—she had an op-ed in the New York Times, she’s frequently mentioned on Joy-Ann Reid’s show, and Sean Spicer called her out during a press conference recently. Good enough for me.
