To recap — Kossack Fineena has been hit with a load of stuff (unexpected move, car troubles, etc.) but depression and anxiety kept her from reaching out sooner. A stalwart of the Community Fundraisers community & Kos Katalogue since 2008, she has been much more accustomed to helping others but now she and her beloved dogs have that unexpected move and she really needs our help. A wonderful $1,000 match was met Friday getting her closer to the estimated moving expenses of $3000.
More recapping: Rents in Charlotte are horrendous. Comparatively speaking she was lucky to find a house in for only $125 a month more than her current place. The new house owner bought it recently as an investment for his daughters' college fund and is looking for a long-term tenant (2-year lease to start) so longer-term security for Fineena. She borrowed (will need to pay back) deposit/1st month’s rent and has signed the lease. She needs about $450 to move the utilities.
Oh, almost forgot — her paypal account is palskaren@aol.com
The backyard fence needs repair (one side almost total replacement) before she can let her dogs out. She needs a storm door to the backyard. She thought she had the labor free just buy the materials (about $1,000 or more), however, the free labor is becoming questionable.
She needs a mattress — currently sleeping on a couch which isn’t good for any of her health conditions — estimating $600 here.
Due to her COPD and heart conditions, she physically cannot move herself so she’ll have to have help. Blessings upon eeff for offering to help with his truck but we still need more moving labor. Charlotte, NC area Kossacks who can help on Saturday, May 27, please speak up. You can contact Fineena via Kosmail.
So the total — $3,000 goal — for moving, transferring utilities, mattress, storm door and fence repair.
Now another wonderful anonymous donor is offering a $750 match — so a $10 donation is worth $20 to Fineena!!!
Move date is Saturday May 27th.
Secondary issue — car. SC tags are expired, needs NC tags (guessing $50), the A/C compressor needs replacing (estimated about $1,000), plus oil change and tuneup (about $200). A car is necessary in Charlotte, NC anyway but definitely for someone with health issues and large dogs. — estimating $1,250 for this part.
With the previous $1,000 match met Fineena is getting very close to the moving estimate. With this equally wonderful new $750 match (total of $1,500 when met) — $630 to go — that should wrap up the moving expenses and take care of some of the car issues.
gofundme sites take a big fee, so we’re doing this via PayPal — palskaren at aol dot com — any and all help will be very appreciated. And thanks very much Kossack communty.
