I noticed this just now, and naturally assumed that it would have lit the blogosphere aflame — but Google yielded zero results, so I’m opening it up to the floor.
The above is a photo from the NATO summit, and I’m just wondering: is it possible that every world leader is sporting the same lapel pin (perhaps a NATO-related symbol of some sort) … except for Donald Trump? Because, of course, nothing says “you can count on me to defend you, my allies, to the death” like a petulant “the hell with you and your stupid NATO membership badges”!
(And, yes, here in the other NATO countries we understand that US politicians need to have a stars-and-stripes pin on their lapel at all times — but from the chap in the top right, it’s evident that lapels can support the weight of two pins, without ruining the line of the suit. And, again, isn’t this the kind of “screw you” approach of a petulant grade-schooler?)
I thought perhaps dailykos readers might enlighten, where Google has failed me.
