So the Indiana GOP decided to reach out to their constituents by inviting them to submit their “Obamacare horror stories” to the state GOP Facebook page. It did not go well for Team Red. Comment after comment praised the ACA, told stories of deaths and bankruptcies averted, and excoriated Republicans who want to take their health care away to give tax cuts to the rich. Have some Independence Day fun by reading these comments.

I think I let kossaks down by not giving them more context re: what i’m talking about — so here’s a a taste (auto-edited for privacy protection to meet DK stds — thx, help desk!):
Willard Freeman I have type 2 diabetes and was without health insurance for several years until the ACA. Last summer I discovered that I had A fib and had a resting heart rate of 160.
Because of Obama care I have insurance and my afib is gone. I have no idea how I would have dealt with it otherwise. ...See More
Jahan Farzam The horror story is that GOP is trying to fear-mongering citizens.
Sheila Steinbacher Clark My deductible is lower than it's ever been. I'm not terrified about being dropped from my insurance because of my preexisting conditions. Don't feel like I have to try and hide it. My daughter is on my plan which gives me piece of mind that she'll be taken care of if needed.
Jeffrey Stern Can't wait till I can die faster once I lose coverage under the GOP's great new proposed plan.
Anna Parisi I was able to afford a lactation consultant so I could pump enough for my tiny preemie to have the best outcome thanks to Obamacare. Thank you Obamacare!
Bill Feldman It's a little late to be running against Obamacare instead of running on your own bill. Except that there will be 20 million more horror stories with the Republican approach, and that's what they're trying to distract us from.
Go see for yourself. You won’t be sorry.
