Good morning! Welcome to the DKos Sangha weekly open thread.
This is an open thread for members of the DKos Sangha and interested visitors who happen by. Each of us has our own path; we come here by way of many different traditions, and of no particular tradition. While the language we use may differ depending on the traditions, teachers, practices, and teachings that have shaped our journeys, we find in common, generally, a search for who we truly are, our true nature, and to bring the peace and compassion born of that search into the greater world of which we are a part. If you wish to share, or if you seek support, or if you simply want to say hello, please do; this space is for you.
All perceived phenomena that are arising within your awareness in this moment, everything seen, heard, smelled, tasted, felt, thought - are all arising together as one. This is the unfolding of the universe, experienced by the universe, through this human-body-mind-being that is you; for you are not other than the universe itself.
Rest as awareness and experience this unfolding directly; experience this moment without a story, without separation, without identification.
~~
Be with everything as it is in this moment; without judgement; without making yourself right or wrong, without making others right or wrong. This is where the universe is in its evolution; this is where we as a species on this planet, this great global family of humanity, this is where we are in our evolution; and this is where you, and I, each of us, are in our evolution, our unique journey, this precious gift of being human; this gift of being.
Our work, our meetings with others, our cooking and cleaning, our learning and art, all of it is an expression of this gift; all of it the manifesting universe, all of it arising within awareness, within the stillness of being.
~~
Rest here in the stillness; rest here, in this moment, in, and as, awareness.
~~
When thoughts arise, notice them as you might a butterfly in the garden, or clouds passing by in the sky. Like the butterflies and clouds, the thoughts are just perceived phenomena arising within awareness, within the stillness. Like the steam from a tea cup, they arise, persist for a moment, and then fall away.
But this stillness of being is always here. It is the ground of beingness within which the play of passing phenomena arise, persist, and then fall away.
~~
Abide here in, and as, this stillness of being.
~~
Just this.
