Let me start off by saying THANK YOU to all who have helped in any way with me trying to get my car fixed. I also want to say a HUGE thank you to a couple of people who have really helped in so many ways. Both BfitzinAr and Elenacarlena have been so very helpful and I have no way to thank them for all they have already done so giving some love here to express my heartfelt thanks. There is no way I could have raised anywhere close to what I have without either of them and all of their help ! I also want to give a HUGE hat tip to Daddy Bartholomew who so gently pointed out my local dealer was taking much advantage of me and giving me some tools to be able to see what stuff should be costing !!!! The one site is great for anyone needing repairs to their car so I am linking to it Here ! Thank Daddy Bartholomew for that ! He put it in the comments and it has come in handy ! Thanks to that I just got the valve cover gaskets done WAY cheaper than I had been quoted by my local dealer shop ( I know they are always Higher !) I did have to sit in the crappy waiting room chairs since they don’t have a handy shuttle and I did not feel like walking home and back. ( Yeah that would have been so fun. Walk a bit fall down, walk some more fall down. Repeat until home. ) Took them a bit longer than they said it would ( they had a little trouble removing what remained of the old, original gasket. ) So no more smelling oil while driving ! It was a little over the estimator BUT less than the 700 I was quoted, total after shop fees and taxes everything was just $432.73 . I would do a Happy dance but I can’t dance ! Plus then you all would need a brain scrubber to remove that image from your heads lol ! Besides the valve cover gaskets I have had the power steering pump drained and refilled with new fluid and was able to get a new set of spark plugs ( my brother in law is going to help me put them in.) Plus new break pads and had the rotors turned. So all told I have about $110.00 left to fix the ball joints. Thanks again to Daddy Bartholomew I have used the estimator and called around and found a place that can do both for $435 plus tax and shop fees ( Why do they have shop fees is it just to jack up the bill ? Seems like it is same at all shops jeez everyone charges some form of it ! Plus I have to pay for an alignment. They said they would do that for an additional $100.00 which is less than the estimator says it should cost so that helps. I hate to ask again but it is almost done now. I just need about $500.00 more for to get them done and will be in clover ! ( I added a small cushion to take into account what the GFM page eats when it transfers money to my account. If you use PayPal and choose send to friends or family I get it all and you don’t pay anything either !) You can find me at louisvillebuschs@gmail.com on PayPal or Zelle Pay or you can head over to my GFM account page Here !
I wish I could give each and everyone of you a HUGE HUG for all of this help ! I could never have done this without all of YOUR help !!!!!!
