Yes, the establishment in the Democratic party is circling the wagons around Pelosi and that is exactly the problem. The Democratic party just experienced a Blue Wave and that is certainly partly attributable to the horror of Trump but it is also because of progressives who came out in record numbers.
Pelosi represents the Neo-Liberal Clinton wing of the party which is exactly 180 degrees opposite of where the Dems are headed. I don't see the strategy in putting in charge the same person who is the face of why Dems fail.
A great example of the tone deafness of the party is the statement “Oh but she is a great fundraiser". Actually, the ability to raise all the money from Wall Street is not the solution but rather the problem.
