This took less time than I was expecting. I don’t think she even got to Brussels so the Euro leaders could tell her to her face to get lost. And it probably doesn’t make much difference in the end whether she survives in the 10 Downing Street residence for another day or not. If she is replaced by another member of her party, of the Hard Brexit variety, the coalition that includes the Northern Ireland Ulster Unionist party may well jump ship, forcing an election of a new prime mininster.
UK Conservatives Force No Confidence Vote
I wish I thought that Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader could save the day, but I’m more afraid that Brexit has literelly made the UK ungovernable. For anyone.
In the end, unless there is a coalition that can force a new Brexit referendum, my guess is that Ghandi will have the last laugh. Not only did the British Empire crumble, but Great Britain itself could easily cease to be. The question being whether Scotland and Northern Ireland will go their own way.
