The “education” is years of therapy after having married a narcissistic sociopath who was borderline psychopath (grabbed once at my throat soon after our “marriage”). This is not a discussion about why strong women are attracted to these individuals (Melania Trump … Maria Shriver ….).
Here’s my insight: individuals like Trump tell us the truth — the clues to truth are in his twisted statements.
Like many of us, I was deeply disturbed by the strangeness of even-more-unhinged tweets over this Presidents weekend. We sense that something just happened, a trigger to protect himself.
But from what ? As reported in a well-researched TV documentary, "Video: Dutch tv documentary claims Trump has ties to Russia mobsters", Trump’s money laundering and ties to organized crime is known. As is the consorting with prostitutes over many years. We know that American social media — Twitter, Instagram, Facebook — were deployed (leaning in … ? ) with the active contribution of Russians with a goal of tipping the 2016 presidential election in favor of Trump. In February 2018, the Department of Homeland Security reported that Russian hackers infiltrated the electronic voting systems of 21 US states in 2016, and "successfully penetrated ... [an exceptionally small number of them].
But none of this has “triggered” Trump like this weekend. If it’s not money laundering, prostitution, and conspiracy with a foreign government to subvert democracy, what *is* it ???
Individuals like Trump fear only their own death.
I reviewed what just happened, then considered past statements made by Trump about blood, rape, and death:
- Last Friday’s indictments of the Russian troll farms are new, but the stories of their activities have been in the public domain for several years, reported on and described recently by Lyudmila Savachuk and Marat Mindiyarov.
- What *is* new is the timing: Mueller unsealed those indictments the same day it was reported that Gates is turning witness against Manafort and possibly others.
- Attorney Sergei Magnitsky was murdered in November 2009 after exposing Russian corruption. Magnitsky worked for Bill Browder, who as recently as July 28, 2017 described “ [a] Terrifying And Complex Picture Of Putin's Russia."
- Trump’s comments about women and blood are well-known, on August 8, 2015, referring to Megyn Kelly ("blood coming out of her whatever") and about Mika Brzezinsky, the co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” "Trump mocks 'low I.Q. Crazy Mika' for 'face-lift' ".
- Megyn Kelly also reported the Monday before the first Republican presidential debate on Ivana Trump's claim she was raped by Trump as documented in sworn testimony in divorce proceedings in the 1990s. As written in Kelly’s book, Settle for More, “On the day of the debate ... she woke up feeling great. Then an overzealous, suspiciously enthusiastic driver picked her up to take her to the convention center. He insisted on getting her coffee, though she’d repeatedly declined his offer. Once it was in her hand, she drank it. And within 15 minutes, she was violently ill, vomiting so uncontrollably that it was unclear if she’d be able to help moderate that evening. It was so bad that she kept a trash pail beneath her desk throughout the debate, just in case.
- Also known is Trump’s comment about shooting someone in New York on Fifth Avenue (" Trump Says He Could ‘Shoot Somebody’ and Still Maintain Support ". Note that he claims to murder *with no consequences*.
- Did Trump know something about Peter W. Smith, the “GOP operative who sought Clinton's emails from Russian hackers,” a man who committed suicide in May 2017? Was there something in Smith’s email communications to now-indicted GEN Michael Flynn?
- Trump on the campaign trail dog-whistled at least twice for Hillary Clinton's assassination.
*Which leads me to my guesses:*
Gates will testify that Manafort worked with and knew of the Russian troll farms, not just the 13 individuals named, but the other 100+ known to be involved. There will be a link to Magnitsky, something that Magnisky uncovered that implicates Trump.
Trump either ordered or knew who (Putin?) had ordered that Megyn Kelly be stalked. Trump may have ordered her poisoning, asked for Kelly’s murder or knew who did.
Trump either ordered, knows who ordered, or himself was party to the Magnitsky murder. Or the murder of other Russians.
Trump has seen blood and/or has the blood of others on his hands.
Trump is aware of Russians’ plans to “penetrate” states’ voting systems in 2018.
The only thing that makes sense to me: Trump fears for his own life.
*Mueller’s challenges*
On a final note, in addition to investigating the every-day-brings-more-evidence-in-the-public-domain (ahem) possible collusion of Trump and his campaign with Russia during the 2016 campaign, Robert Mueller III is fighting —
- International money laundering and organized crime
- Russian interference in American democracy in 2016 and 2018 and beyond
- Russian conspiracy with American issue groups like the National Rifle Association
- To continue his own work
- A Congress who is unwilling to act or is complicit, and
- His own FBI office in New York.
We are witnessing the greatest attack on decency and democratic values in the history of Western Civilization.
Godspeed, Mr. Mueller.
