Symptomatic of our ineffectual congress and government is the response to Fazebook. Of course, elimination of government is what the right wing is all about but riddle me this:
- If a college dropout started an airplane company that overturned Boeing, Airbus et. al. and took over the market, then that would be great, right?
- If that college dropout figured he knew how to manage a virtual monopoly of the multi-billion dollar aircraft market better than anyone else, then that would be impressive, right?
- If the dropout’s management philosophy was “move fast, break things” and “try, fail, repeat” and there was no independent testing or regulation on their aircraft, then that would be efficient, right?
- or if said dropout started a pharmacuetical company, or a nuclear reactor company, or surgery company, then why not, right?
How is it that there were no questions about why Facebook did not bring in experienced, professional management once they reached super-mega-corp size? How is it that their bullshit, cavalier approach to the consumer data business is just accepted as good? How is it their perogative?
Image how any other business would be treated if they operated like Fazebook.
