Could there be a name for a political disease that strikes a community of people, leaving them incapable of gleaning information from anyone but their own circle?
“Beltwayitis” perhaps?
Does anyone in this community ever bother to check the pulse of Progressive social networking? For that matter, do they even comprehend the magnitude of influence that this medium now has?
Because if they did, it would be as plain as the nose on their faces that Kamala Harris does not stand a chance in Hell of becoming President of the United States in 2020.
Shortly after the recent announcement that Kamala Harris’ was going to don sheeps’ clothing to walk among Progressives this late in the the game, I logged in to a variety of Progressive social sites to see how this news was going over. The postings were not pretty. I did not see a single favorable comment.
Might this be because of the ordination Kamala Harris received at an exclusive party in the Hamptons with the Clinton crowd?
Or perhaps for her decision to not prosecute OneWest Bank and the “foreclosure king” Steve Mnuchin?
Whatever delusions Harris and her supporters might suffer from, the bulk of the Progressives are not not likely to exhibit sudden bouts if amnesia, no matter how hard the corporate media tries to shove her into the top tier of Presidential candidates. It might have worked before the era of social media, but it ain’t gonna fly this time.
These rather transparent attempts by conservative democrats to once more groom their favorite candidate for the presidency will only lead to another disastrous four years with the sitting President in power.
But then, to this faction of powerful Democrats, what is worse than Trump in the White House? A progressive President.
