A flight instructor and his assistant took it upon themselves to attempt to deport a visa-holding Chinese student, Tianshu Shi.
The man then tells Shi that he is in his custody, according to the newspaper: "Do you understand what in my custody means? Do you understand? It means I will forcibly remove you. If you want the police to come with guns, I got you on that. Alright? You ass is leaving right now. Let's (profanity) go."
Shi is a legal visitor to the US, holding an M-1 visa. Shi’s roommate complained of similar treatment, saying,
"They treated [SHI] like an animal, not a human being."
Now, where would they have gotten the bright idea to do that?
By the way, the instructor and his assistant are now facing charges of kidnapping and conspiracy. Do they understand what ‘in my custody’ means? Do they understand?
