Re: The theory of the “unelectability” of Elizabeth Warren, or any other woman, or actually any Democrat at all, as described by too many progressives in recent conversations.
I have had it up to here with people, including too many women, who say "the country isn't ready to elect a woman president." The fact is, the part of the country that isn't ready to elect a woman wasn't ready to elect a black either but was perfectly happy to elect the traitorous insane clown Donald J. Trump with a minority of the popular vote. Why in the world are we catering to them?
It is a horrible idea to not nominate a woman because "middle Americans" or anyone else won't accept it. They won't accept anything from us. How in the world would Obama have been nominated -- and elected -- if everyone just accepted the Republican veto of blacks, women, progressives, non-progressives and centrists. If we nominate a "moderate" they'll call him a sellout, a hypocrite, and a wimp. This is a game we can't win. Stop playing it.
Why are we buying in to their ridiculous preferences? Since when do Republicans get to veto the Democratic candidate?
How about we spend some time fighting over the merits of our candidates, and then spend a lot of time turning out the vote for the actual human being who becomes the Democratic nominee?
How about we get a fucking spine?
