Back in January Trump commented on how a major catastrophe like 9/11 could serve to unite the country.
I found this quote on a NPR web site: “I would love to be able to bring back our country into a great form of unity,” Trump said. “Without a major event where people pull together, that’s hard to do...”
Now I think we’ve seen the kind of morality this man has so it makes me wonder, could he be working actively to foster such an event to happen?
Could moving the embassy to Jerusalem be (at least in part) part of that plan? Surely this kind of action would piss off some people.
Could the Muslim ban be (at least in part) part of that plan? Surely singling out a certain religion would piss off some people.
And now these tweets…
Now the prudent part of speculation on this, as in my headline, could serve to minimize further outrageous statements and actions… at least theoretically. If speculation along these lines becomes widespread could it at least attenuate more such comments? Plus, if speculation along these lines becomes widespread, it might at least attenuate the American habit of uniting behind the President.
How can you unite behind a president who arguably caused the catastrophe?
