Donald Trump has had the worst legal week of his life (thus far) and his lawyer is finally chiming in … from a Trump-owned golf club in Scotland. It’s rather amazing he’s enjoying a luxury week of golf in a foreign country as it becomes increasingly clear his client back home in the states, aka Individual-1, is now facing serious legal jeopardy as an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal investigation.
Nevertheless, he took a moment in between rainy rounds to answer a few questions from Sky News in Scotland and he went hard after Donald Trump’s longtime personal attorney, Michael Cohen. From Sky News:
Sky News reporter: Is it inevitable now that President Trump will be impeached?
Rudy Giuliani: Hardly. I think it’s inevitable that he won’t. President Trump is completely cleared. You have this Cohen guy. He doesn’t know anything about Russian collusion. Doesn’t know anything about obstruction. He’s a massive liar. Uh, if anything, it’s turned very much in the president’s favor.
I think impeachment would be totally horrible. I mean, uh, uh, uh, there’s no reason. He didn’t collude with the Russians. He didn’t obstruct justice. Everything Cohen says has been disproved. You’d only impeach him for political reasons and the American people would revolt against that.
Sorry, Rudy. If he’s guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors, the United States Senate is required to act. Truth, justice, and the American way and all that.
