Not sure if you’ve heard about the dustup between Tom Arnold, who’s currently involved in a show called “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes” and Mark Burnett, the producer of the Apprentice, at an Emmy pre-party last night in Hollywood.
Arnold is claiming Burnett tackled him while Burnett’s wife claims that Tom Arnold ambushed her husband and that led to fisticuffs. But as sensational as that is, it isn’t really the meaty part of the story. What jumped out to me is that Tom Arnold claims the legendary, Omarosa approved, Apprentice tapes were turned over to Ronan Farrow yesterday!
Now a Deadline report suggests those tapes could be on their way to publication. Witnesses present at the pre-Emmy party say that after Arnold’s physical altercation with Burnett, in which he says Burnett “went ape-sh*t and choked” him, he shared loudly telling those around him that the Apprentice tapes had been handed over to Ronan Farrow.
I can’t really think of anyone I’d rather have them in the hands of honestly. I think if Arnold did have them, it would have been a disaster.
So what could be on them? What impact could they have?
