This is one excellent commentary ...

They didn’t get it then. They don’t get it now.
Rather than examine the substance of what Ford alleges — a serious charge of attempted rape by a drunken teenager, egged on by a male classmate — they focus instead on the timing. Just like they did with Anita Hill in 1991. Same identical questions. Why didn’t she call the police? Why’d she wait so long to come forward?
You’d think they’d have learned something by now. Especially after the recent fall of so many male celebrities — Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Les Moonves — on charges of sexual abuse. In each of those cases, charges were raised by female victims decades after the abuse occurred.
Why’d they wait? Seriously, do we still have to ask that question?
These women knew that if they did speak out, they’d be attacked, ridiculed and smeared, and called a slut and a liar. In other words, they’d be treated just like Anita Hill and bullied just like Christine Blasey Ford.

Bravo, Bill Press.
“Rather than examine the substance … they focus instead on the timing.”
“Why’d they wait? Seriously, do we still have to ask that question?”
Seriously ... What century are these Republican-cowards living in?
Blaming the Victim, is not socially acceptable anymore — or haven’t they been paying attention.
Victimizing an abused woman a second time, by their crass and dismissive comments — is something that will cost them Votes — Big Time. Just watch.
Society has come a long ways since the days of the shameful treatment the Senate Inquisitors directed at Anita Hill. The Me-too movement has turned the tide against such “routine” dismissive behavior, by clueless men in power. “How women are treated” is an issue that cross-cuts many demographics.
They had better wake up to that fact, and act accordingly … or else resign themselves to losing their imagined power, that the Voters of America had so graciously given them.
Enough is enough! Those good-old-boy days and their despicable tactics, to sweep the “bad behavior” of their buddies under the rug — are so over.
Just watch, GOP Dinosaurs. And learn, the hard way. When the nation, en-mass — Disrespects you.
