BREAKING: Special counsel Robert Mueller's office issued a rare statement disputing explosive and confusing statements on Monday by Rudy Giuliani that his Sunday assertions about President Trump continuing the Moscow Trump Tower negotiations through election day were only “hypothetical.”
A number of media outlets had seized on the statements throughout the day on Monday, calling the latest smokescreen by Giuliani the most damning yet, with several raising the extreme possibility of not even reporting his bullshit anymore.
“Giuliani’s description of specific statements by Trump to Russia, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Donald Trump’s communication to Russia are not accurate,” special counsel spokesman Peter Carr said in a statement on Monday afternoon.
Two people familiar with the matter said lawyers at the special counsel’s office discussed the statement internally, rather than conferring with Justice Department leaders, for much of the day. In the advanced stages of those talks, the deputy attorney general’s office called to inquire if the special counsel planned any kind of response, and was informed a statement was being prepared, the people said.
Around 3:30 p.m. Monday, Carr distributed it to numerous media outlets via email.
People familiar with the matter said the special counsel’s office meant the statement to be a denial of the central theses of the Giuliani’s ridiculous non-stop lies and deliberate confusion of matters central to the special counsel’s investigation — particularly those that referenced what Trump had told the Russians, and what evidence the special counsel had gathered.
“We just can’t abide his insufferable non-stop bullshit anymore,” said Peter Carr, spokesman for the special counsel’s office. “While unusual, this statement continues our new policy of getting day to day guidance from the DAG and the acting Attorney General on when to issue clarifications to the media. He’s just attempting to muddy the water and we are just done with this nonsense. ”

Note: The original headline of this story as published was:
BREAKING: Special counsel issues rare statement disputing explosive Giuliani bullshit
To be specific, the purpose of the title was to use irony to call attention to the disparity in treatment by the SCO of alleged inaccuracies by Buzzfeed and the torrent of lies by Giuliani.
For some reason Daily Kos saw fit to change the title to:
[Satire] Special counsel issues rare statement disputing explosive Giuliani bullshit
While it is their site and they can do what they want, I point out that this story headline was censored.
Further, G2geek in the comments below explained a “technical flag” on the story because I used “bullshit” in the title. I understand the rational, and while I don’t agree with it, plenty of media outlet use “bullshit” in their titles, I accept these conditions. The use of the word bullshit in the title has been changed to bullsh#t.
