The title of this diary is the title of this Op Ed by Timothy Egan. Just to be clear, I find this tripe annoying beyond belief. It’s because I babied these people for years, go light on their racism, it was an accident… be understanding. All the while, they make up insult-terms for the fact that I’m saying be tolerant of… various people. They want to be talked to nicer, but it’s a big laugh if progressives try to make safer spaces and nicer terms at their DSA conventions, et cetera.
Trump has proven to me that was a wrong tactic all along. Speaking of swing states Timothy says:
The persuadable voters in these states, many of them working class, say political correctness has gotten out of control, and they prefer someone seeking common ground over someone with a militantly progressive agenda.
Right… people that like someone seeking common ground are … going to vote for Trump. That’s not common ground. That must be something besides common ground. “Don’t tread on my religion”… hmmm…. interesting idea. They don’t like it when it’s other people’s religions though. As far as I’m concerned these people are wrong, and there is nothing helping progressive more than the rise of “woke” culture. If they think we’re supposed to have a more polite trump… forget it.
In my opinion it’s time to go out of our way to piss those people off. That’s what they did to us… to trigger the libs and drink our tears. I feel like… ok, good job, you pissed me off, I have lost the sympathy for you I previously had and you rejected, the sympathy I still have for the rest of the world. Now what?
