The host of Fox and Friends told his national audience that germs do not exist because he can’t see them. Seriously.
Pete Hegseth on 2/10/19’s show said:
Germs are not a real thing. I can’t see them. Therefore, they’re not real.
OMG. The stupidity and narcissism in that statement would take a long time to try and unpack. But it got worse. He also told his national audience that he does not wash his hands, ever, and that by not washing his hands he was inoculating himself. (From what I wonder, as germs don’t exist.)
He said that he was only saying on-air what he says off-air.
The irresponsibility of his statements aside, by Hegseth’s admission that he truly believes that germs don’t exist because he can’t see them, he has revealed he is too stupid to be believed by anyone about anything.
Someone should ask Hegseth to list all of the things he can’t see but does believe in to prove he is an idiot. Does he see radio waves? X-rays? Wireless signals?
Doesn’t he know that germs can actually be seen by anybody who uses a microscope, while none of these others things that he clearly believes in can be seen by his own eyes?
Fox News approves of Hegseth, and of his ignorance, and of his sharing his ignorance with the Fox audience. Because that is what Fox News is for. Having trusted personalities lie to their audience and having that audience believe them.
Fox News just told their viewers, during flu season, that not washing their hands will inoculate them against germs.
That is a public health outrage. One that Fox News approves of.
