Last year, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that Pennsylvania egregious gerrymander was unconstitutional.
Even a child could see that gerrymandering done by Republicans robbed the voters of free and fair elections and defied the will of the voters. A quick look at the 2012 election shows us that Republicans gerrymandering gave Republicans 13 out of 18 of the state’s seats in the House of Representatives even though Democrats won a majority of the statewide vote.
After the (also heavily gerrymandered) Republican state legislature returned with a similarly illegal map, the court imposed one of its own based on careful analysis intended to make the drawing of districts more representative. The Republican response has been to threaten to attack the independence of the courts.
This is the GOP in 2019 in a nutshell: a party utterly contemptuous of democratic norms and palpably terrified of an EVEN REMOTELY fair political fight.
Free and fair elections are anathema to the Republicans. For further evidence, take a look at Florida in the year 2000. Just months before the 2000 presidential election, Republican governor Jeb Bush purged tens of thousands of innocent voters from the voter rolls, denying voting booth access to tens of thousands of African-Americans and registered Democrats without due process in order to help steal an election for his brother.
And when Al Gore STILL managed to get more votes in Florida than Jeb Bush’s bother, the Republicans did everything they could to stop the mandated hand recounts of the votes that would have PROVED that Al Gore got more votes!
In Ohio in 2004, there was obvious electoral fraud in the state of Ohio.
John Kerry (a war hero) was expected win the state of Ohio handily against George W. Bush (a man who deserted his national guard unit), however George W. Bush was declared the winner, under very suspicious circumstances.
After the highly suspicious “victory” of George W. Bush in 2000, the United Nations offered to send election monitors to the United States to verify that the 2004 elections were free and fair and not tampered with, however the Bush White House refused to allow the U.N. election monitors into the United States.
Exit polls showed John Kerry winning the state of Ohio, however, Ohio’s secretary of State, Kenneth Blackwell declared George W. Bush the winner.
To make things even MORE suspicious, Kenneth Blackwell was the co-chair of the Bush-Cheney campaign at the time he declared George W. Bush to be the winner.
To make things even MORE suspicious, the voting machines in Ohio left no paper trail, and they gave seriously questionable results. For example, in some Ohio counties, George W. Bush got more votes than there were registered voters!
Strange things happened in many counties across Ohio, however, suspiciously strange things ONLY HAPPENED in counties where John Kerry was expected to win. In counties where Bush was expected to win, nothing strange happened.
Even MORE suspicious is the fact that the voting machines that gave such strange and questionable results were provided by Diebold. And Diebold was run by Walden O’Dell, a prominent Bush supporter and fund-raiser who promised in 2003 to make certain that Ohio went for George W. Bush.
Of course, if the electronic voting machines were deliberately programmed to generate more votes for Bush than were actually cast by Ohio’s voters, it could be uncovered pretty quickly by computer science experts if they were allowed to examine the machines that generated the suspicious results.
Yes. An audit of the machines would have settled the question of electronic electoral fraud once and for all, that’s why it was so suspicious when the political leaders in the state of Ohio ordered all of the electronic voting machines locked up in a warehouse where nobody could examine them.
There is plenty of evidence that electoral fraud happened in Ohio, however, it has never been investigated.
And in 2016 in Florida, we see where Hillary Clinton was way ahead of Trump in the early voting. She was so incredibly ahead of Trump that many Floridians were already declaring Hillary Clinton the winner. Trump would have needed at least 70 percent of the votes on election day in Florida JUST TO BREAK EVEN with Hillary Clinton!
This is basically impossible. Nobody has ever had a turnaround like that in the history of Florida politics.
And yet, on Election Day, Trump was declared the winner of Florida.
The suspicion that very serious electoral fraud occurred in Florida in 2016 is very high, however, there has never been an investigation into it.
America’s intelligence agencies have now concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin was behind a misinformation, propaganda and hacking campaign to tamper with America’s 2016 presidential election to subvert the election and hand the presidency to Donald Trump.
Admiral Michael Rogers, who leads U.S. Cyber Command told U.S. lawmakers that Donald Trump has refused authorization to strike at Russia’s cyber operations. That means that Russian President Vladimir Putin – who directed the campaign to disrupt the 2016 U.S. Presidential election – has no real impediment to tampering with America’s elections in 2019 or 2020.
Looking at America’s electoral history for the past twenty years, I see multiple examples of gerrymandering, voter suppression, electoral fraud and interference by foreign dictators to subvert the will of the American voters.
And EVERY TIME the fraud, the voter suppression, the gerrymandering and the tampering by foreign dictators, EVERY TIME these violation of our elections favor Republicans.
And the Republicans don’t want there to be investigations into any of this.
Republicans don’t believe in free and fair elections. They don’t believe in the will of the American People. They believe in voter suppression and foreign dictators and whatever else it takes to stay in power.
