Hello. Thank you for clicking on this diary. I was actually going to ask for help a while back, but I found a way to get by. I no longer have that luxury. Can you help?
The short version is that I have Meniere’s disease and migraines. It’s gotten severe enough that I can’t hold a job. I actually had to quit the one I had a while back and I’m living on credit cards. I’m trying to figure out how to survive and take care of my mother (she’s had a couple of strokes) while I apply for disability. Unfortunately, the place that had my medical records closed down and I’m trying to track down the hospital where I had my endolymphatic shunt surgery to see if I can do anything with that.
In any case, I need a way to keep a roof over my head and just asking for money never really sat well with me. After some reflection, I picked up a digital paintbrush for the first time in over a decade. The result is what you see at the top of the page. We didn’t have Patreon back when I was in college, but it’s something I can do when I’m well enough to paint. I plan to complete about two pieces a month and patrons will get to vote on what I do next. I’ll be happy to provide art advice as well.
If you’d like to donate, my Patreon page is here:

Again, thank you for your time.
Lastly, for those that are curious, these are my day to day symptoms, which vary in severity throughout the day:
-
Severe tinnitus and hearing loss/distortion
-
Dizziness, balance problems, nausea, and sleep-vomiting
-
Extreme motion sensitivity
-
Disorientation/difficulty concentrating
-
Sensitivity to sound and light
-
Scintillating scotoma (occasionally)
-
Diarrhea
-
Irritability
-
An occasional line of sharp pain from the back-left side of my head to my left eye
-
Crippling depression
When I have flare-ups, I get everything above (minus the pain, thankfully) X 100, plus:
