Tonight I’ve been watching a lot of CNN (Town Halls for Marianne Williamson and Andrew Yang, plus “Tricky Dick” later) and they have been advertising a marathon of Presidential Town Halls scheduled for next Monday night (4/22) live from New Hampshire. Here is the schedule (all times Eastern Daylight):
Amy Klobuchar at 7PM
Elizabeth Warren at 8PM
Bernie Sanders at 9PM
Kamala Harris at 10PM
Pete Buttigieg at 11PM
Relatedly, Bernie Sanders is taking his case to a Fox News Town Hall tomorrow at 6:30 PM, which oddly I know about because it was advertised on CNN. I’m beginning to think these Town Halls may be more useful than the debates which are likely to be joint press conferences. Questions from voters are IMO more valuable than those from debate moderators and we can hear more detailed answers. Also, a true debate would have the candidates asked all the same questions so we can compare answers, but we usually get a lot of how are you going to win rather than policy questions.
