The Mueller Report includes a glossary of brief descriptions of individuals and entities referenced in the two volumes of the report.
I haven’t read the report so I might be missing something obvious but Hannity is referenced 5 times, mostly in association with Fox and talk radio interviews and he probably should be there in the glossary between RhonaGraff and Johnathan Hawker.
There is a name there, in the small space where a name starting with ‘Ha’ would be. The name and brief two line description is redacted as Harm To Ongoing Matter. Some of the others listed in the glossary have fewer references.
The Mueller report isn’t about Stormy Daniels or AMI or David Pecker or Michael Cohen’s advice on personal troubles and real estate. There may be another reason or reasons to redact it or maybe his references are not deemed important enough to list in the glossary but one reason to redact Hannity’s name is if the Mueller team’s description after his name had to be completely redacted because it referred to ongoing coordination/collusion or obstruction investigations and Trump and/or Russian coordination with RW media.
Hopefully that’s about talk radio and/or Fox and Russian use of talk radio going back to 2008 and Manafort/McCain/Palin, 2009 and ‘Climategate’, 2011 and debt default (coming up again), Benghazi/emails, etc.
From “Operation Trump”, by Gabriel Sherman April 3, 2016, here’s a quote from Nunberg :
Throughout 2014, the three (Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, and Sam Nunberg) fed Trump strategy memos and political intelligence.
“I listened to thousands of hours of talk radio, and he was getting reports from me,” Nunberg recalled.
What those reports said was that the GOP base was frothing over a handful of issues including immigration, Obamacare, and Common Core. While Jeb Bush talked about crossing the border as an “act of love,” Trump was thinking about how high to build his wall. “We either have borders or we don’t,” Trump told the faithful who flocked to the annual CPAC conference in 2014.
That was the same year a Russian troll said he was given “a list of topics to write about” (Washington Post)
Hopefully Democratic investigations will take on Russian and Trump use of talk radio in this disaster and ask the kind of questions that will erode the ability of the talk radio gods to intimidate GOP politicians thinking about turning on Trump. Or exacerbating Trump-generated emergencies before the next elections — like using Limbaugh to push for a debt default.
