To impeach or not to impeach?
To impeach now or impeach later?
To start the impeachment process now and see where it takes us?
To impeach after the election?
To let the voters decide in 2020?
To drag impeachment out until the 2020 election?
There are many scenarios; much more than the short list above. Some scenarios I like and some I don’t. Some days I get so frustrated by the whole sad reality that I’m ready to throw something at the wall and say f$$K it, Impeach the ba$tard. Other days I think that it is best that it be done methodically.
There is a good argument that it is important to impeach now because it is a matter of principle. One thing I worry about impeaching now is what if the Senate acquits, does that take it off the table if Trump steals the 2020 election again. I feel that the Trump party wants to have an impeachment right away, They think of course that the Senate will acquit and by November 2020 this will all be a thing of the past, increasing Trumps chances at re-election.
I think it is important that the Trump party starts to understand that the only outcome for Trump is that he will be investigated now and if he wins in 2020 he will be investigated or if he loses in 2020 He will be investigated. Relentlessly! Somehow the Trump party always seems to think that there is an end somewhere to investigations from every corner, from the firing of Comey to the Barr propaganda letter. They need to understand that it will never ever end. When they pull the lever for Trump they need to understand that they will be voting for investigations and impeachment.
If anyone can answer the question in my title, If Trump gets acquitted in the Senate (likely to happen), can the Dems impeach again if they take the senate or if the other 12 or so investigations turn up evidence or both?
