Last night my spouse and I had the truly memorable experience of attending the Apollo 11 50th anniversary on the Washington D.C. mall, focused on projections on the Washington monument. We were at the 10.42 pm show, timed to coincide with the first steps on the moon exactly 50 years earlier. The projections on the monument were amazing — much better than I expected. Kudos to NASA and the Smithsonian for such an inspiring presentation. The mall was packed, and this was a true celebration of America, unlike Trump’s July 4 fiasco.
